Angel Care AC310-P

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

I am so EXCITED to talk to you about the new monitor we received from Angel Care. I wanted to use the monitor a bit, a get a feel of it and make sure I fully understood how to use this one. If you have read our very first blog post about angel care, I talked about why we loved the AC510 version. Click right here to write about it >Angel care Monitor

This blog post is about the AC310-P angel care monitor.  This monitor is ALMOST identical however, it has a couple of different features. The major different feature would be that this is not a touch screen directly on the screen itself, you actually touch the symbols on the side that navigates you. The screen is a bit smaller but the symbols on the side really help you look for what you need right there. This one also has a wall mount or the tabletop camera and it comes with an adjustable magnetic mount. We put ours on the wall and feel like we can get a full view of him in his crib. What I absolutely love is that it has a low profile camera with a room temperature display, it turns red when its too warm and blue for too cool. We keep Adin’s room about 22-23 celsius The night vision is also AMAZING on this. You can pretty much see everything. The one thing that I do see is a lot of people see how the camera itself shows a light of the temperature so it gives a bit of light in the room. However, I keep ours on because it gives him a bit of light so if he needs to find his soother or just wants to move around. If you don’t want this, just take black hockey tape and cover it and it will completely black it out. It also does have a two-way talk and to be honest I haven’t ever used it at night because I don’t talk to Adin through it. He doesn’t ever wake up so I dont have to communicate with him. However, when my husband is taking him out of the crib after his nap, and they are still in the room, I will communicate to him through the monitor and he has mentioned how well he can hear me. So, if you are looking to play soothing sounds or sing to your baby through this monitor. It would be a good choice.

If you read my first post about the AC510 I talked about in the blog post how we couldn’t find a good monitor that would go far in range. This camera goes far!!! Our house is about 2000 square feet (with basement) we can go to the garage and across the street and we will not lose signal at all! WHICH I LOVE!  Because I simply move from room to room, cleaning or doing something while Adin is sleeping and I want to make sure I can see/hear him at all times.  I also loved how this one came with the under the mattress breathing sensor pad, it tracks subtle movements. It will sound if no breathing movement is detected after 20 seconds. I will love this when Adin becomes a toddler, and he comes out of the crib and the monitor doesn’t pick up the very quiet sounds because he will probably master it…BUT the sensor pad will 🙂 So I am so excited for that.

A lot of you asked me if you could watch it on your phone. In all honestly, I looked for one without. I wanted to keep him on something separate from my phone. As when he goes to bed I am constantly on my phone and I don’t want to keep going back and forth to it. I really don’t know if they will introduce the phone part but I simply am loving the way it is right now.  I also got asked what am I doing with both monitors. I kept them both. I put the AC310-P  in his room and then I used AC510 (older) in his playroom. I use both monitors and just watch him wherever he is.

To finish this off, we simply love our new monitor. Its loud, clear and easy to see Adin, if its during the day or at night. If you have any questions, or comments please send them to me.

This post is sponsored but all my opinions and comments are from me. I always loved Angel Care.

With love,

What’s in my diaper bag!

If you are reading this you probably will know that 1. I am either super organized or 2. I’m just crazy. Or maybe just both? Before I share all my secrets and my MUST buy products for a diaper bag, grab a notebook because this will be a long one, but I promise you it will be worth every minute of your time.

When someone tells you to bring pretty much nothing with you because it easiest to carry around. This is not true. I do carry a lot in my bag but I am organized and I make sure everything has a home. You don’t need a diaper bag for it to be a diaper bag, you can honestly buy any bag and just buy the ToteSavy insert to organize your stuff in the bag.

Once you put that item in that pocket or section try to leave it there for next time or you will never know what pocket you put it in and then end up taking the whole bag apart. What’s nice about the totesavy is that it can easily be pulled out and you can look at all your stuff.  I do own both the original size and the mini size and I find my original size is good for my going out bags and my mini size is BEST for the Fawn Design bag. (If you want see the difference of them both in the bag, go visit Totesavy’s blog where they talk about it.. Honestly I have memorized that blog inside & out)

When you are doing laundry and you take stuff out of your diaper bag, remember to put a fresh set inside. If you have dirty bibs, dirty clothes or used up stuff and you just stuff it in your bag it will make your diaper un-organized and probably smelling funny. Use a doggy bag, and put all the dirty stuff in it and this will remind you to take it out when you open that diaper bag again 😉

Ok! Lets start with the Fawn Design Bag, without this bag I probably would be either stir crazy un-organized or just a mom who doesn’t have style. This bag has it all for you. Style, lots of space, perfect leather, simple, and gorgeous colours. The Fawn Design bag is a bit pricey for Canadians and you actually cannot buy it in Canada. I had to actually buy it on their website and when it got to me it ended up to be $290.00CAD. But I don’t regret it and it is worth every single dime. You can wear this bag as a backpack or on the shoulder, either way works.  However, I believe without the Totesavy inserts I don’t think I could be as organized as I am today.

In the mini grey totesavy there are six pockets, a middle section and gadget to clip your keys to. The mini size looks small but honestly it fits so much stuff. The pockets are not small and I feel like I can keep putting things in and it never gets full. The material feels so light and there is a cute little handle you can grab when taking it out of the insert.
In the deluxe changing pad, I wanted a section in my bag that was just for changing him and where I can put all the toiletries together. The changing pad itself is so cute it actually makes me laugh every time I change him because it says “Sh*t just got real” whoever thought of that has one amazing sense of humour. The changing pad clips onto the insert so nicely and it has its own little home in the insert. There is two elastic bands for baby wipes and one for diaper cream or in my case I use for our honest bum spray. There is a HUGE back pocket, where I put all my toiletries. Literally it’s the best changing pad combo I have ever got.
What’s in what:
Tote Savy
  • Sippy Cup
  • Teether’s ( Sophie the giraffe, Shop Glitter and Spice teether)
  • Snacks for Adin
  • Toque and mittens for Adin
  • Change of clothes for Adin
  • Burp Cloth/Bib
  • Copper Pearl Nursing cover
  • Baby breeze fresh food, if it’s being eaten within the hour it goes in a pocket, if not it will go in the black thermo bag (Poppin bottles) **Even though I don’t give Adin bottles as he just feeds off my boob, I still use this bag for storing his fresh food, cheese, fruit cold etc..)
  • Aleeva face wipes

Deluxe Changing Pad

  • Pampers sensitive wipes
  • Huggies diapers
  • Honest Company Bum spray
  • Changing Pad
  • Honest Company healing ointment
  • Lotion for me
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Dog bags for storing his diaper ( I don’t like just throwing his diaper in someone’s garbage) I also use this to store his dirty bib, or clothes so it doesn’t get on anything else
  • Baby Butz cream (All Natural)
  • Vaseline

Fawn Design bag

  • My wallet
  • My phone
  • Stop the drop straps
  • My lipstick, lipstick liner and eyelash brush
  • Gum

As Adin gets older I will of course be changing my diaper bag so often however I feel like this has been like this for a while. But of course I will do an updated blog post of “Whats in my diaper bag” when he is a year old.

DockATot Deluxe Review.

20604341_10209199463043298_1864234390168716505_n

Let’s start off first with WOW! what a life saver. I could not get Adin to sleep in a bassinet when he was a newborn. As soon as I put him in a bassinet he would start crying because he literally felt like I was just putting him down in a open space. I have a friend and a family member who swore by this and I took their word and made my husband buy it for me. Now, we can’t live without it and will be buying the grand size next.

Everything about the dockatot just works. I am going to name each thing about it and talk a bit about it and you can decide if this product is not perfect enough for your babe.

  1. It light and easy to carry  – I literally will carry this everywhere we go and I can get him to nap anywhere. It comes with a handy to go bag.
  2. Its great for tummy time & changing
  3. It’s breathable – I tested this theory because I was so paranoid of him putting his face into it (don’t worry this doesn’t happen)
  4. Its washable – It un-zips and you can take the cover off and wash it. It is a bit tricky to put back on and zip it up, you probably will need two people to help you with this. (Buy an extra cover because it’s good to have while your baby sleeps in one and you wash the other.. you will thank me later)
  5. It doesn’t feel like your baby is sleeping on a stone – It is soft and delicate. Adin loves the feeling of it and so do I.
  6. It’s simple. Literally, simple and smart.

The best part of this product is when I put him in there he knows it’s time for nap or sleep time. It keeps them snuggled in there and prevents him from trying to roll over ( I mean he really tries to do this in his sleep but it prevents him from rolling onto his face). It does have a buckle on the bottom and I just recently opened it because he is now to long for it. The deluxe version is from 0-8 months however I feel like I will be going to the grand around 7 months. I mentioned the grand version to my husband and he didn’t even hesitate, he responded with “Yes, buy it.. He loves it and it works for us”

This retails about $267.00 CAD and an extra cover is about $99.00. So it is a bit pricer but honestly when your a new mom or even a mom with more than one baby you want to sleep and you want your baby to sleep. What got me through these 5 months of motherhood at night is the dockatot. I swear by it and my money was well spent for it.

4moms Mamaroo

I was excited to write this post ( I know I say that about every single one but honestly I just have so many amazing products I want to share with you!) This post is about the 4moms mamaroo and how much Adin really liked it and how much I liked it. Hope you enjoy reading!

Firstly I want to start about how stylish it looks, how it is simple and honestly how elegant it looks. I can put this in any part of my living room and it will look good ( I have moved this about a hundred times in my living room, I will talk about why in the post later on) Every colour they have works in every home. I also purchased the newborn insert which was the same colour (It is no longer in there because Adin outgrew it by 2 months) I wish they would’ve included in the box because honestly I feel like you need the newborn insert without it their head at such a small age will just fall to one side.

Putting the mamaroo together had to be the easiest and I was so excited when it arrived I literally put it together that night at 8 months pregnant, thats how light it was and easy. I researched this (of course) for days and read other peoples blogs and posts how their babies enjoyed it and to be completely honest I found some that didn’t enjoy it. This is honestly ok because some babies don’t like it and it just means its not for them. I put Adin in this 5 days after he was born and he fell asleep like an angel every single time.

The swing is the smoothest and really does move like you do. There is about 5 different motions ( Car ride, Kangaroo, Tree swing, Rock-a-bye, and wave) Adin loves the car ride and the rock-a-bye the most. The motion can go from very slow to very fast. As a newborn he used the slowest and then when he got older I got increased the speed.  I remember when he was a newborn how much me and my husband swore by this. We would swaddle him, white noise and he would be on the mamaroo and he would fall asleep each time and I could transfer him over to his bed literally asleep. As Adin got older he didn’t fall asleep anymore in it and he was in for more enjoyment. I usually would put him in this to calm him down after his activities and it works like a charm each time. From day one he loved the little patterns above his head. He still looks at them and sometimes I will flip them from the contrast to the colours one every other week. The other great feature on this is that you can connect it to your phone. This is an amazing feature and my husband really enjoyed it the most because he would be on the couch and he could slow it down from the medium speed to the slowest if he eventually wanted to transfer him over to a bassinet.

In the beginning of the post I talked about how many times I moved it around in my house. He started out at the window and enjoyed looking at the picture frames on my bookshelf and then I moved it closer to the window, facing the kitchen and now it is facing the whole living room because he just wants to see everything! Thats how great this product is, its easy to move and its such a nice swing they enjoy being in it and looking at things. I feel the other swings I bought he felt like he was always felt like he was falling back and he couldn’t enjoy the ride.

As Adin got older he really started to slam his feet down on it and tried to roll over in it. I was really afraid of it falling apart or breaking BUT it hasn’t and thats how you know it really is durable and safe. The weight capacity on this is about 22 lbs so make sure that you take note of that. When Adin no longer is interested in the swing or he is 22lbs I probably will be sad or cry putting this away. I really do recommend this product to everyone and my advice is to start early on them because they will fall in love with the soft motion. This retails about $329.99 CAD & The infant insert is about $49.99 CAD.

I hope you enjoyed this post and hope you find yourself looking at one of these babies one day.

Noodle & Boo on my baby.

Noodle & Boo

In my current bedtime routine post I talked about a couple of products and I really wanted to share on how much I love them. When I was pregnant all I researched about was natural products and all the things I needed, and I still do this today before I put it on my baby. Adin is on a bit on the dry side (like his mama) and we give him a bath everyday so I thought I would make sure he had the best products on him to keep that beautiful baby moisture in.

Soothing Body Wash – Now this body wash has to be my favourite. It cleans without stripping his natural mostiure and smell out of his perfect little baby skin. When I bathe Adin I want to make sure when I am cleaning him that he doesn’t come out dry.  It is a soap-free formula and tearless which is important to me because I honestly wouldn’t want him rubbing or crying because the soap hurts his eyes. I will usually put a small amount on a bamboo wash cloth and honestly I get a lot out of such a small amount and I can usually clean his whole body with it. This retails about $20.99 CAD so its a bit pricer but once you try this body wash you honestly will never go back to your old one.

Super Soft Lotion – This lotion is the best smelling lotion and is light but still feels super soft. I honestly put this on Adin and it makes his skin so soft and I just want to cuddle him all night. This lotion has vitamin E and C which helps protect his soft and delicate baby skin. When I put this lotion on him it keeps him moisturized and smelling nice for days, I kid you not. It does retail a bit higher than any other brand of lotion you find at the stores. It retails about $22.99 CAD and is a decent size for lotion and on the plus side you don’t need to use so much, the product literally has so much moisture in it. So I have to say this has to be my favourite baby lotion.

I hope after reading this you decide to pick this brand to be your everyday body wash and lotion for your little one. Hope you enjoyed the read!!

Angelcare Monitor

Before I had Adin, I looked and researched for the best monitor but never bought one until he arrived. It was one of the hardest things to buy next to car seat/stroller however I am happy to say I have found the one (After buying 6, trying and returning not even kidding!)

I bought the Angelcare Baby Video Model: AC510 version. It was probably one of the pricier ones in the store but after buying 6 this could not compare. This monitor retails for $289.00 in CAD. The monitor is a 5″ LCD touchscreen, the touchscreen is pretty responsive and it displays the most important things (Pad, Settings, Room Temperature Reporting, Microphone, Search, and Brightness). The monitor also displays on the top the Time, Temperature, Volume, Battery Status, and the Signal for the monitor which is all really good to have.

The monitor can be mounted on the wall or tabletop and is magnetic, which is an awesome design ( Literally it just attached itself nicely) I found out that you can move the camera down and up to get a better view of the baby, which was a bonus for me! The temperature was really important for me because our temperatuere in our house changes so much. The temperature displays either in Celsius or Fahrenheit on the camera and on the parent monitor. It gives you the option to alarm you if the temperature drops to 15 Celsius (Which is too cold) or peaks up to 25 Celsius (Which is too warm) **Babies should be sleeping in 18 Celsius/ 64 Fahrenheit**  I also liked that you can add more cameras (Up to 4), a digital zoom in and a decent night vision. You can add a wireless movement sensor pad, which you put under the babies mattress and it tracks subtle movements (Like breathing) it will alarm you if anything. (I did not get this feature nor will I be adding it because I feel like it would freak me out too much) However, if you want that peace of mind its nice that you can add it.  I also found that most monitors don’t allow you to go very far with the monitor, which didn’t work for me because my husband and I spend most of our time in the backyard, front yard or in the basement which really reaches most range and loses its signal. The Angelcare goes up to 820ft which is a lot where other cameras average up to max 600ft (BONUS!)

I hope after reading this post that you decide to go with this monitor. You can also visit their website http://www.Angelcare.ca.
